Added second browser (FF) - what about webshield?

I just added a second browser (FireFox 3.5.2), but as of yet, I don’t have it set as my default browser. I think ‘Web Shield’ is working on FF since I went to “eicar.org/download/eicar.com” and avast sounded the alarm. I also see the blue ball spin when changing websites.

Since ‘Web Shield’ is working with IE, will it work automatically when I choose to use FF?

Is there another test I should run?

Yes. Webshield will work with all browsers installed when you enter a http page (not https).
