Frustratingly it has taken me half the day to try and pair my avast on my computer to the securing device page on the myavast page with little success. It would be good if this is automatically updated once the license has been renewed.
What device is it that you are trying to connect ?
Is this for avast free or one of the paid versions of avast antivirus ?
If it is for a paid version, your new license should listed in your my.avast.com account (though it doesn’t happen immediately) ?
I thought it should be, assuming (dangerous I know) you used the same email address when purchasing your license.
Did you get an email after the renewal and did it have a license file attached or activation key in the email ?
If it happens to be Avast Free, I recall (if memory serves me well) that Avast were no longer going to add the free version to the my.avast.com account. My XP System (Avast Free) is no longer listed in the my.avast.com account, that said my win7 and win10 systems are as is my mobile phone all are using avast free or AMS.
David is correct. Unless you purchase a licenses from Avast for any of their paid products,
There really isn’t anything useful left on the my.avast.com account.
Hi David. Thanks very much for your insight. I am trying to add my computer plus another one. I had purchased the internet Security version of Avast which allows up to 3 devices to be added. The license is listed but on the device page I had followed the instructions to download the installer but on completion it does not seem to add the device to the required page (the license does show as current if I go to the Avast application on the licence tab) it is just strange things do not seem to be joined up on the portal (https://my.avast.com/#devices/add) so wondered if I am missing something. the same email address is used throughout I have even signed in with the email on the actual avast application? Email confirmation was received with license file which again I have entered.
It just seems as if something something is not joining up? Hope that makes sense
