My license was expiring in 25 days so today I have purchased new license 3 years 3PC, I still had remaining 25 days left on my old license, I would like to preserve or combine the remaining days into my new license, any info on that would be appreciated.
I have emailed it request to support via-form, is that sufficient enough.
If you mean by using the support ticket system, then yes it should be enough, but don’t expect an immediate response support tickets can take up to 5 working days for resolution.
Its 25 days that I would like them to add to my new license but…well I guess its not much of a big deal really but if could be added I wouldn’t complain
It is a big deal, you have paid for this time and it should have been added to your current license expiry date. If this is happening to you it could also be happening to others.
Very true.
How does the license work I forgot. I have now 2 options to use licenses, the old one which has 25 days left and new license around 1096 days or so. If I use the remaining 25 days, will the new license count from the day I have purchase or day I will start using it., its been 3 years since I’ve done this I don’t remember
Presumably you got a good deal on the three year license ?
Seeing this now, it would appear that you did this outside of the UI ?
If it had been done within the UI nearer to the renewal date (e.g. when you started getting reminders) I would expect it to be added to the existing period.
If you had another system, you could use this remainder on that and the new license now on this system.
Ya it is good deal. I’ve been with avast for about 2 decades if not longer and I would always get PRO version so I presume loyalty pays off :). Also yes the process was done outside UI that could explain why remains of the days weren’t added to new license.
As far is adding the 25 days to other system…not worth it, that’s OK. Thanks for your help and effort
I got response from support, the 25 days have been added to my new license. I was always wondering why I have been with avast for so long, this is a good reminder
Thanks DavidR again and have wonderful weekend
