I have a interesting issue so hopefully someone will be able to help! Have been using Avast free for some time now with no problems, but after a recent fresh OS reinstall the program updated to v.5. The issue is that now while using Vuze I have been unable to get it to open/add a new torrent file by either downloading from Firefox or by double clicking a torrent file from a saved location on the computer, both of which were working fine previously. When I try either of these methods, nothing happens, other than a busy cursor for a fraction of a second. The only way I can add torrents is by dragging & dropping them onto Vuze.
There’s definitely a conflict as if I uninstall Avast & reboot, double clicking/downloading torrents start adding to Vuze properly again. I have also tested this with utorrent with the same results. I’ve tried disabling shields one by one & various settings within the shield settings but have had no joy. ???
Would appreciate any help! Using Windows 7 x64 & Comodo.
