I just recently changed my admin login for the ADNM console. When I attempt to login, it rejects my password saying “Unable to login as Administrator or connection error”.
This was the second time, I changed the password, the first time was to change it from “admin” to just a temporary password for now but now that I changed it too the password I plan to use, it will no longer accept it.
Is there any way I can recover this password or reset it too default without having to uninstall the whole thing?
Well, that’s quite a problem… Are you sure you’re entering the password correctly? The passwords are case sensitive - maybe you had CAPS LOCK on when ENTERING the password (just an idea…) :-\
yea, i’ve tried caps lock on and off…tried it without the last letter of the password and tried other letters that are around that letter on the keyboard just incase and nothing…
Your password is a BIOS level password or a simply Account password? In the second case, you can create a new Admin account and enter the OS then cancel or modify the privileges; you can also open the box of your pc, turn off the machine & remove the battery of the mainboard . After 5-10 minutes, insert the battery, reset the system clock and set a new password.
ADDED: if you have a booting floppy, you can set the password (be sure to have the floppy as primary booting device in the BIOS settings)
