ADNM and Mirror not updating

Hi,

I’ve installed ADNM and Avast! Netclient and Server on a W2K3 server with XP pro clients.

Clients can update their VPS and program through the mirror, the clients ar well detected by the ADNM (but i had some troubles with the ADNM first)

The problem is that the mirror does not update and there’s nothing in the logs about updates from Avast servers.

Another problem about the ADNM, when i try to view the log, I’ve got http://:5053/[log-file-here] as the URL. I have to add the ip address or the name of the server to view the logs.

Very strange indeed…

  • do you use a proxy server? If so, is it set up correctly in ADNM?

  • can you check the file \mirror\logs\mirror.log? Is there anything relevant?

  • if you run \mirror\mirror.exe manually - does it work?

  • the missing server name is really very weird. How exactly do you connect to the server (from the console)? I mean, what exactly is in the “Server:” box of the Log on dialog? Also, when you’re logged on, do you see the correct server name on the console status bar? (on the right hand side, just next to the name of the account under which you’re logged on, e.g. “Administrator”).

  • no proxy server, setup correctly I think (i can’t connect to ADNM now…)

  • errr… There is no mirror.exe in the ADNM directory or subirectories, i think i found my problem :slight_smile:
    Where can I find mirror.exe ? Do I have to reinstall ADNM ?

  • In the Server: input, I have the name of the server (cttsserv0101) and its IP adress and i can’t log now… I think I will reinstall the ADNM when i will be on site (in 2 weeks)

I will be on site this thursday, so do i have to reinstall all ADNM, server and clients ? Is there any way to update the ADNM without reinstall the whole thing ?

Of course, you can update the AMS without reinstallation. The procedure is described in the ADNM Administrator’s Guide (simply said, it is done by going to Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs → Avast Management Tools → Change/Remove → Update).
