ADNM is not longer working

Hi,
strange; after several months good working and w/o any modification (excluded upgrades on OP Win Server 2003 and Avast) the ADNM Console can not longer been started, no error message, just non action. The server is well working, the distribution to the workstations also.
Any idea for repair w/o installing the server?

Do you mean you can’t logon? No logs, nothing?

The Application is not starting; Click on the icon or the AVEngine.exe shows the sand-hour for some seconds, thats all.

More Infos:

The Avast Management Server (in Service Tab) is set to Automatic Start, but is Stopped.
Manual starting the Service ends with the following message in the Service Events:
The avast! Management Server service terminated with the following error:
%%42000

Check the Windows event log, Antivirus category. What are the latest “red” entries?

Hi, I have the same problem.

My registry error are:

  • Third server conn attempt (last good: xxx.xxx.xx.x:16111) failed. (error 0000274D).
  • Cannot connect Server lookup didn’t find any AMS’! socket, WinSock error 0x00000000 has occurred.

And when i try ro start the service “avast! management server” manually, i get an error:

  • Impossible to start the service, it hasn’t respond to start request

I have just tried the repair tool but it can’t solve my problem.

If i had to reinstall the ADNM, what are the consequences, i lose my database?? i need to reinstall all the client console??
