ADNM --> making changes to Managed Client (On Access) - when does it replicate?

Hi,

I’ve installed a couple of installation of Avast with ADNM and the managed clients.

I’ve had to do some tuning as the Avast client is slowing down the workstations.

My question is: Where do I make changes to the On Access scanner properties and how/when does the new client get pushed to the client workstation?

Do I have to change in install package? or is it just a policy that needs to get pushed? If so, how do I do it?

There should be a default resident task - from the root ADNM console folder tree, it’s under Tasks, Client-side. Edit the resident task to your liking.

Clients check in for policies. I think the setting that controls that is in the properties of the Computer Catalog. Under Policies: Avast! there’s a setting for overwriting settings every x minutes - mine’s set to 30 minutes. In practice that’s about right as I generally see the .ini file of clients updated fairly quickly.

I have found the policy refresh timer and set it to 5 minutes until I can get some other issues resolved.
