We are in the process of changing from Trend (OfficeScan, ServerProtect, and ScanMail) to avast for our corporate AV. I have setup ADNM and have started to deploy avast server and pro versions.

How do I manage the providers with ADNM on managed clients? In the Install package I was able to select the providers that I wanted to have installed on a client. How can I turn on or off providers from ADNM on managed clients?
-
How do I setup email alerts in ADNM. e.g. If a client detects a virus, I want it to email/alert me.
-
How do I deploy NetClient Edition on remote computers from ADNM. By remote computers I mean computer that are not part of my LAN/WAN. E.g. I have a computer at home provided by my employer that needs to have a copy of avast 4 Pro installed and managed by ADNM. Is there a way to push or pull deploy the client? With Trend OfficeScan, we were able to deploy (pull) it via a https site. How can I do that with avast?

Is there a way of discovering clients based on OS version and have them placed in an appropriate computer group automatically. I need a method of deploying avast Server or workstation based on OS with out having to sort through all the discovered computers manually and having to figure out what OS it is running on each computer and then deploying the package that applies to that OS. When I ran the a discovery task to find all computers on the network it was able to find them, but the column under Operating system is labeled unknown. Once I install the NetClient or NetServer Edition, it detects the OS, but that is after the fact.

Is there a way to change the installation on a managed client? Let’s say I want to remover providers or add a provider that was not originally installed? I.e. I want to create a package/deployment task that adds the P2P provider to existing installation of avast.

We currently are using Trend ScanMail on our exchange server. I already have install NetServer Edition, but not the exchange plug-in. What is the best way to add the exchange plug-in?
Thanks you.
