ADNM On SBS 2003? Install questions...

This is a general expertise question. I have installed Avast SBS version, ADNM, and the mirror on my MS SBS 2003 with 5 users. It is a pretty nice little server, 2.33 Pentium D (Dual on one chip), 160gig drives (2 with one as the mirrored RAID drive).

My questions are:

The drive is partitioned as 20 gig for the os, programs, etc, with about 11gig free after installing all Avast programs. I noticed in the instructions for ADNM said the database could get up to 60 gig, am I going to run out of space? I can increase the partition if needed, but it would help to know now.

Are there any other hardware concerns we should worry about? I am not sure how much CPU time Avast uses, or ADNM uses, or the mirroring uses…

Thanks so much for the advice. I’d like to keep it simple given the size of the network, so if the above looks like I am good to go for a while, all the better!

Are you using MSDE or full SQL Server? MSDE won’t grow above 2GB anyway so it’s really not a concern.

Otherwise, the machine configuration looks very nice - but I guess you didn’t buy it for avast, right? ;D

We did not buy it for Avast specifically, but my client (I am setting this up for a small firm) has been using Avast since Beta. He is very happy with it, and I am starting to learn why.

Thanks for the response!

Oh, nice. Thanks
