ADNM Reinstallation and Synchronisation

We recently have encountered an issue when running the Avast ADNM Console, whereby on startup it would request the username and password to log into the server. When the correct details were supplied, a “no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it” message would show.

To rectify this, we uninstalled and reinstalled all Avast products running on the server. However, this has caused the new installation of the ADNM console to lose synchronisation with the other computers running the Avast NetClient Editions on the network that were running before the reinstallation.

Is there a way to make the ADNM Console recognise or resynchronise with these NetClients or will we need to do a fresh reinstall of the NetClients on each machine through ADNM?

Have you tried running a discovery task from the ADNM console (Tasks → Server-side tasks → Discovery tasks)? This will try to detect all the managed clients on your network. You can also just manually add computers to the catalog, either by name or by IP address. Right-click on “Computer Catalog” and select “create computer”. I think, if the managed client is already installed on the computer you add, that the client and the server will sync up automatically.
