I’ve tried several times today to download/install ADOBE Air through Avast and it fails.
Wondered if anyone else has experienced this issue?

My computer spec pretty well matches what you’ve listed. I am relieved to know it isn’t just my system and obviously hope sufficient people report the problem. IT ???

Might be worth going to the website and install from there https://get.adobe.com/air/ and reset avast software updater.
Did that and the installation has taken place successfully. Obviously some issue with the Avast system. Re-scanned for outdated software and everything was up-to-date. I’ll leave it to the Avast people to sort out if there is some gremlin in their system. The fact someone else reported the problem suggests there is something at the Avast end of things.
