Adobe Flash files blocked

I’m running free and when I do a full system scan, the installer programs for Adobe Flash are password protected.

Is this something Adobe has done or have I accidentally protected them myself?

Hi,newmarket2! Welcome to the forum!
It is very strange, that Adobe Flash are password protected :o. I don’t know but it looks strange… Please, scan it on virustotal and post url here
P.S. I surfed the net and found here:

But scan it on virustotal

Im suspecting you have installed the new flash recently ? have you rebooted the system since installing.

My full auto scan ran today with no mention of flash here.

As far as I’m aware their flash updates are password protected.

Now I downloaded the latest version of adobe flash player and scaned installer. A lot of files are password protected. There are no reasons to worry if you downloaded it from the official web site. Good luck!

Helpful to hear that others find the installer files to be password protected.
To me, that means I will ignore these errors when I scan.
And, I might ask Adobe why they are doing that…the don’t with their other software.

Most if not all software is password protected for the obvious reasons.

That’s right. They started this with version 10.2, IIRC.
