Adobe Updates to Flash and AIR

Adobe has just released updates within the last couple of days to Adobe Flash and Abobe AIR.

If you use FileHippo’s Update Checker they should appear there once the program has finished its scan of your system.

Updates thread?

Does anyone actually use AIR? I always get rid of it if it manages to find it’s way on my machines.

Hard to answer. ;D
I don’t use it.

I had never heard of it before and a little google later, thanks but no thanks.

now i wish all the products using AIR update too :frowning:

Off topic, but I notice that Nesivos has passed 600 posts, but has not been evangelised.

Has the number changed, or is there perhaps now a policy (which I would like to see) where you have to have a post count and also to opt-in for forum status changes?

I avoid all AdobE products since you can find lighter resource ones out there that don’t require ones for each browser and need frequent updates and get security holes in them.

+1, all adobe products are overly bloated rubbish, it’s a shame that no one else has come up with a version of flash since that is the only thing i require from adobe and i would dearly love to not have anything from this company.

There’s no alternative for Flash Player atm, afaik.

True…except don’t use it. And if you do have to use it, add something like NoScript for added protection.

But you don’t need AIR or the Download Manager. I don’t use them and my machines work fine.

The only Adobe product on my computers is Flash as it is needed for too many web sites.

The rest of Adobe’s products are bloated and full of security holes.

+1 I agree too with CharleyO I also used Adobe Flash as well and the only product I need to read my PDF files are PDF-Viewer which I don’t used Adobe PDF Reader any more I gave that up years ago.

Well, I guess one who love to use social networks like Twitter and Facebook, since many air application I know are built for those social networks.

I never install AIR and never got it since I’m downloading the update for Flash Player and Reader directly from Adobe using Opera, rather than updating through it’s updater.
