The free version still has annoying ads?
I was gone for a while. I remember the 2015 version was a bad experience because of the advertising.

Yes it still has ads, personally I don’t find them that annoying. I guess I’m mellowing and have a higher tolerance to the avast ads, I don’t really see that many and can be closed in a couple of seconds.
I get them very rarely indeed. When I visit a certain site ( LeGrove ) which I do on a daily basis then I do get them once every two weeks I would say. That’s it. I don’t even notice them.
