I had this software on my pc and had a lighting strike; so that pc is history; but now I am trying to download and install it on another pc and with my dialup IP it is a no go; tried and tried; so I was wondering if there is anyway to get a copy on cd. for install.

Not for quite a while. If you know someone who also has a computer ask if you could download avast then
copy/paste or transfer the file to a USB flash drive. Then using the flash drive transfer it to your computer.
Having a slow dial-up may possibly affect the downloading of vps and streaming updates.
