When my Advast does its updates the pop up window will not show up until it is does. It acts like it is getting stuck. This just started after my internet speed was increased for 2.85 Mbps to 9.50 Mbps. Is making my internet faster causing this.
No, your internet speed has nothing to do with the update panel shown after avast! updates.
Check your settings 
The update sound does work. It just while it is updating the window that says everything is good does not pop up until it is done. I have never seen this happen before until i had my internet speed increased.
