Can one of you guys with High Speed Internet check out AdwCleaner on Virus Total?
I certainly don’t have any problems with AdwCleaner on my computer with avast.
But, the Norton Anti-Virus on my sister’s computer doesn’t seem to like AdwCleaner. It seems to think it is malware. It doesn’t even let me download the AdwCleaner Setup File. And while I’m not 100% certain that Norton was responsible, I THINK one time Norton even on its own removed AdwCleaner from my Flash Drive. Cuz I know for a fact that I had it on there. Then after dealing with that Norton didn’t like AdwCleaner, the next thing I knew, somehow AdwCleaner was no longer in my Flash Drive.
Hmmm … so why do those 2 VirusTotal analyses not use the exact same set of Anti-Viruses … especially given that they were both performed on the same day and pretty close to the same time frame?
It wasn’t my sister or her husband who introduced AdwCleaner into the computer. It was me.
For downloading AdwCleaner I use Softpedia as my primary download source. Sometimes I use MajorGeeks. On that day in question, Norton had problems playing well with AdwCleaner from either of those 2 sources.
It’s probably one of those situations like with ComboFix whereby there really isn’t a problem, but whatever Scanner flags it as bad or suspicious does so because of its powerful techniques in which it does its job.

If you refer to the above scan?
Polonus scanned the bleeping computer URL ....... i scanned the adwcleaner.exe program file
VT url scan is a check against blacklists, and cant be compared to the virus engines used when scanning a file
