I have an employee who got some virus that turned off the avast service and I can’t seem to scan his machine through aea or through avast on his machine either.
I ran anti malware it found 2 viruses and got rid of them but I’m still stuck unable to update his program and vps for future scans and get him back online.
any thoughts?

Have you checked to see if it disabled avast! in your system services? Can you manually start the avast! services? If not, try running a repair through add/remove programs.
the AV installation has been compromised.
Use the Avast uninstaller tool to remove the current installation and redeploy from EAE (or manually install) to have a secure installation.
