After Avast 5 upgrade system crashing with BSD

Hello,

I see there are a few posts in this forum of a similar nature, so I apologies now if for going over old ground.

A few hours after upgrading from Avast 4.8 [Blue icon] to 5.0 [red icon] the program stopped working with warning that the ‘Evolution period had ended’. I knew that my Avast registration at this time wasn’t yet due, still I started the program registration sequence, then even before any details were passed over the internet the a ‘new registration’ details were accepted.
Avast rebooted and was once again full working, then less an hour later and then every few hours since the system began to crash ‘BSD’ with warning ‘End of NT Evolution period’ has caused fatal error…………
I tried to repair Avast 5.0 [red icon] installation, still the error continued, I’ve now removed Avast 5.0 [red icon] and reinstalled Avast 4.8 [Blue icon], it has now been just over 24hrs and the system so far hasn’t crashed.
There is a possibility that the error has nothing to do with Avast 5.0 [red icon] installation, however circumstances and the timing of the system crashing do point towards Avast 5.0 [red icon].
