After removing Avast - Avast Upgrade Utility keeps popping up

I recently uninstalled Avast.
Something was left behind apparently because there is a Avast upgrade utility window that pops up. I have downloaded your avastclear and booted to safe mode but that didnt do the trick and window still pops up.
Please advise. I will include FRST.txt now and Addition.txt once somebody clarify how to attach a file to a post

A ‘Screenshot’ of the popup would be good.

Attachments and other Options

Thanks for the help. Adding attachments this time…
I do not have a copy of the pop up
The window title is “Avast upgrade utility”
It said something like Windows 10 version of Avast is ready. As I mentioned I already uninstalled Avast but this still comes up

You’re welcome.

Popup gone ?

I need to have my wife log in to verify. For some reasons it only happened (very persistently) with her account only
I do see that files under common files / AV /etc have been removed

I got rid of this annoyance by running Computer Management/System Tools/Task Scheduler, then displaying the Task Scheduler Library, selecting AVAST Software, and deleting the 2 tasks in that library and the AVAST Software library itself.

I then deleted folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\AV and it’s contents.

That seemed to do it.

MikeA’s method also worked for me. I tried several times to install the Windows 10 upgrade and was only successful when I uninstalled Avast Free (simply disabling the shields did not work). I was surprised when the Avast upgrade message kept popping up even after choosing “Never” as the reminder frequency. Digging down and removing the avastAntiVirus folder did the trick! I also checked the Task Scheduler and found a remnant of a different Avast action there, and removed it.
