After uninstalling Free Avast my Windows 7 do not starts

Hi all,

Tree days ago i was to uninstall my Free Avast.

Meanwhile was doing uninstall, Avast shows a message that Avas was update. I’m surprised, but continued. When uninstall was finished i do a reboot and since this moment my Windows not starts.

I can’t boot in safe mode. And whits a recover console can’t do a restore point.

I agree to someone that can help me or say that what can i do.

Thanks all (and sorry for my bad English, i hate to use automated translator).

I have the same problems
After the upgrade of avast on my win 7 pc , the system dosen’t boot (error 0xce or similar)
if I unistall avast the system works
Installed avast 2015 works
Updated avast 2016 the system dosen’t boot.

Now I’m using old version 2015 but I can’t update virus signatures

I hope that i’m clear

Perform a clean installation of avast.

  • Download the full installer for the version you want ( https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=179855.0 )
  • Remove avast through control panel (skip this step if you get a error)
  • Run avastclear
  • Make sure all remnants of previously installed av’s are removed ( http://www.ache.nl for links to tools/instructions )
  • Reboot
  • Run the installer
  • Reboot

Thank you, but i can’t uninstall Avast because my windows don’t start.

In safe mode also do not start. >:(

Only can entry in recovery console, but can’t do a system restore. :frowning:
