After upgrade from ver. 10.3.2218 to 10.4.2233: BSOD for NGVSS.SYS ERROR

After upgrade of Avast Free from ver. 10.3.2218 to 10.4.2233, a BSOD for NGVSS.SYS ERROR - STOP 0X00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA took place. This BSOD occurs at any further system startup.
Additionally, please note that:

  • The Motherboard is an ASUS MB P7H57D-V EVO motherboard.
  • the OS (Win7x64 SP1) is also almost identically installed on other three partitions of the same PC and that also on these partitions the above mentioned NGVSS.SYS error is present.
For this reason, I have asked Avast Support to help me resolve the issue under Ticket #12278.
However till now no solution has been found.
The last suggestion from Avast Support has been to download and install new V2016: SP1 Beta 3 (2016.11.1.2244).
However said beta release does not install itself for unknown reasons. Enclosed you can find the screenshot I see on the screen for hours: nothing else happens. What’s wrong?

See if a clean installation works.

If for clean installation you mean first to remove avast and then to install it again, well, I have already done it.: it does not work. Additionally, I noted also that BSOD happens again at any avast version (including 10.3.2218) I use for new installation.

Did you use aswclear ?
Did you remove all “leftovers” manually before installing the latest version ?

No, I didn’t. I will try aswclear. Where do you think I should look for “leftovers”?

On your hard-drive and in the registry.
