After Windows 10 Update, Chrome Does Not Work In SandBox.

After installing the latest Windows 10 updates, Avast Safe Zone and Google Chrome do not work in the Avast Sandbox. Is it possible to fix this issue, or should I wait for a Avast Update?

Thank you.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed.

Completely uninstalled Avast with Avast Clear. Completely reinstalled Avast Premier (paid for version).
Neither Chrome nor Avast Safe Zone work with the Sandbox. Firefox however still does.
Would you please fix this?

Running on Windows 10 32-Bit Virtual Machine

This issue perhaps started with the following:
Chromium was changed such that the Sandbox cannot handle the change
Since the Windows 10 32-bit edition had a major update, perhaps this broke something with the SandBox.

Thank you.

Yes.Confirmed.Not only 32 bit it not working in 64bit also.I report it Avast! MOD for this issue.

Hi guys

Thnx for reporting !

Some points :

  • Two days ago a silent update for the Sandbox was rolled out, so it is also possible ( just speculation ! ) that there is/was something wrong with it.

  • I had already the problem that Opera doesn’t work in the Sandbox https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=187819.msg1328796#msg1328796
And as Opera, Chrome and the Avast SafeZone browser are all Chromium based, the problems could be related.

  • Btw if you want to run the Avast SafeZone browser in Sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com you have to disable the Avast self-defence module.
    And that is not preferable.

I will put this forward to Endt as well.

As for the Avast SafeZone browser running in Sandboxie issue, I just have discovered it today while testing because of this topic.
So far I can not find a workaround other than disabling the Avast self-defence module.
I have attached 2 screenshots.

( P.S. Maybe I should have started a separate topic because of this issue. )
