After Windows Updates, Windows 7 crashes on aswrvrt.sys

I seem to be getting the systems crash/reboot on aswrvrt.sys after I did the recent Windows update on Win 7 Pro x64.
After reading some posts about this issue, I was able to get to the command prompt and ran FRST64.exe, the output file is attached.
Note that I am unable to boot into Save Mode; once it hits aswrvrt.sys, the computer reboots.
Windows was unable to restore from any of the restore points.

Let me know if you need any additional details, would love to get this system booting again and not have to do a full rebuild!

Thanks!

Hi this will disable Avast from loading although I do not believe this is the problem it is worth a try

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
On completion try a normal boot

Thanks Essexboy!

As you suspected, this did not fix the issue.

Digging deeper I discovered the BIOS had reset itself to defaults so it was trying to use IDE instead of AHCI for the HD. Setting it to AHCI fixed the issue and it booted right up.

Thanks again for your time with this.

Glad it is resolved, you may need to repair Avast though after my tinkering
