Agent Mail is blocking send/receive message from outlook

Hi,

First everything is working perfectly when mail agent is deactivated: I am able to send receive mail from outlook using
SSL/TLS connection with pop3 (port 995) and SMTP (465) set in Outlook 2016 profile configuration.

Everything is going into damned situation when I am turning on Avast Mail Agent:
No way for outlook 2016 to connect to my provider’s email services, send/and receive tasks fail systematically with a

RECEIVE: (0x80042108) : « Outlook ne parvient pas à se connecter au serveur de courrier entrant (POP3)…»
SEND: (0x80042109) : « Outlook ne parvient pas à se connecter au serveur de courrier sortant (SMTP)… »

I’ve read many forum’s topics, and I think that the root cause is between Outlook and Avast email agent authentication, some hand-check as a certificate is missing or not well set into Outlook 2016, Avast or perhaps both of them!
I’ve done many time install/uninstall procedure starting with Avast, then with Outlook, always the same “b–ls–t”

I’ve found how to export SSL Agent from Avast, but don’t know how to insert it into Outlook 2016 Configuration
I did:

  • From Avast: Email Agent configuration, setting, export certificate (see attached #3 and #4)
  • From Outlook: /file/Options/security/… (see attached #1 and #2)

but it seems that from outlook menu certificates are for email numeric signature rather than Email agent certificate.

please can you help me step by step (menu sub-menu, button, and information to fill into box) to configure this security feature, on both side (Avast and OUTLOOK 2016).

Sorry, don’t speak your language.

And the answer is: not complete, please I really need a step by step roadmap.
Et la réponse est incomplète, SVP, merci de m’aider étape par étape pour finir la tâche, je sais exporter le Certificat, mais l’importation je n’y arrive pas, donc si son extrème guru pouvait partager son savoir faire, cela serait suffisant.

OK, let’s try…

  • Which version of Premier…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Thanks.
W10 PRO 64 bits last version update manage by Microsoft.
Avast premium last version: 18.5.2342 build 18.5.3931.358
Office 365 and Avast premium are the only softwares installed.
It was a fresh installation from scratch with build of a new RAID volume for system so new partitioning, new format, new system, new Avast installation.

I am a Avast and Office user for years (not free version, but commercial one), I’ve never switched to something else.
see attached captures.

Please help me to import into Outlook the certificate that I previously exported from Avast SSL email agent…

  1. Download Avast Premier Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_premier_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Apology for the delay,

I was using my web UI to access to my mails.

This weekend I’ve followed your roadbook (step by step), and the result is the same:
the only way for me to get outlook send and receive messages consist to stop Avast email agent.

What’s wrong?
