As the title mentions, just now i installed the ais 418 version, after i reboot my system none of my default startup items got loaded, when i checked the things in task manager i noted that avast anti virus is in the"starting status"(note: generally it will be in starting status for a few seconds and will change to running)for more than 10 minutes, which is making a delay in startup of other services… I cant even take a screenshot on that state because none of the program is working until the avast service changes to running state…
Why is it happening so???
Create a dump of the AvastSvc.exe and process (Task Manager → Processes tab → right-click AvastSvc.exe and choose “Create Dump File”) and upload it to our ftp server, please.
Thanks
Vlk
ill upload it tonight(IST) as my ISP provides only 1gb free in day…
The [compressed] dump shouldn’t be more then 20-30 MB…
here is my dump file
sorry about the size the original dump file size was 120 mb and after i compressed i got 40 mb
may i know is that dump analysed???
is that dump analysed,??? let me know pls
I’m not trying to be rude at all, but probably not since Vlk asked you to upload it to their ftp server, not mediafire. I doubt they have time to chase it down; maybe you could upload it like he asked? I’m sure you would get a faster response that way.
whats the url for their ftp site??
Whats the procedure to upload it there?
but last time i uploaded my dump in mediafire and vlk analysed it, i dont know why he is not doing that this time… sad
Yes, but that relies on Vlk rejoining this topic.
Where doing as suggested uploading to the ftp link achieves two things, a) it will be noticed and b) Vlk won’t have to go to mediafire to download it (if he does notice it in this topic).
just open a browser and paste that in the address bar. then drag n drop your dump file into it.
i uploaded it in the avast ftp site, lets see if they are analysing it or not
hello avast team, i uploaded a copy of dump in the avast ftp site but still no results about that, whats going on??
Just thinking out loud here, but I noticed from a screeenshot you posted earlier that you have about 80-90 processes running in your task manager which is more than twice the amount i have running on my machine (39). Do you by chance have alot of programs that run at startup? For instance, i have 4 startup programs. Is it possible that you have too many programs running at startup and they are all fighting to connect, and that is possibly causing a delay? Again, I’m not trying to “butt-in” to your topic, just trying to help.
ya i had 90 processes earlier but that doesnt caused me any problems so far, because its the same for me for years. But thats old.
Now only a week before i reinstalled my win7 64 bit, even avast 5.0.396 was running fine, but once i made a clean install of 418 build this annoying problem started, to be more specific the same problem was there for in some beta builds too.
Im specific that it is avast because in the “services tab” in task manger avast is the only service that is in the starting state… only after it starts the other services will continue starting. The funny thing here is i cant uninstall avast though as nothing is running. I have to reboot in safe mode to uninstall avast!!! : :
Bala, which are the blue screen error number and the faulty driver?
Any recent added software or updated driver?
Oh thanks, i got some reply now at least. I never had blue screen but the thing is whenever i reboot my pc all my startup applications and many of windows services wont start until the avast service starts. Here starts the problem all the the other services that starts normally before starts in a few seconds and changes from “starting” state to “running” state(monitor it in the task manager-> status-> sort by status) in a few seconds, but when the avast svc starts it gets struck in the “starting” state for more than 10 to 15 minutes, which causes the delay in starting the services that will start normally after avast is loaded…
I cant even take a screenshot as i cant even start the clip tool at that state… pls help
Why people from avast not responding??? Is the avast technical team not willing to provide solution or what? I even sent the dump, they are not even ready to analyze it … this is not the kind of response they should give
Maybe we must wake up pk ;D
