AIS 7.0.1465 still latest version on this PC.

I tried 7.0.1465 RC on one machine. I still have it today ???
Any clues to quickly get to 7.0.1466 (that don’t involve the obvious 120MB full installer download)?

Download the latest Avast version and install it over the top, some people are having the same problem through GUI update so I installed over the top and everything is like magic :wink:

The only people apparently having this problem that I recall were those who were using the RC build (.1465 that you have), but that was resolved after a further VPS update, so I don’t know why it is still happening.

Try a repair of avast, you may need to reboot after the repair.

This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual version.

Thanks guys (note to Speedy: I did say that don’t involve a 120MB download - this machine is on a seriously throttled connection)

  1. Repair install of 7.0.1465 - no success

  2. Backed up settings
    uninstalled from A/R Programs
    reboot

  3. Ran RejZoR’s removal tool (on XP SP3 too!)
    reboot

4.Ran AIS 7.0.1426 installer (already on the drive) which insisted on grabbing and installing the ‘latest’ version… waiting… which when completed turned out to be 7.0.1456 ???

  1. Upgraded to 7.0.1466 from within the UI

  2. Recovered previously saved settings. Yippee!!

Smooth, easy… but far too long a journey to advance the release version by a single digit!
