Some of us, maybe many, don’t have Avast AOS installed, because the amount of problems it causes don’t justify the amount of additional protection it provides.
Have you checked that the Avast Firefox AOS extension is present on your system and enabled?

this happens ONLY with FF.as above,the Avast addon is acctive on my FF 26
Well olddog (who answered you) is a firefox user (see the signature below his post), though that shows FF 25, but that may be he hasn’t updated his signature for a while.
As you can see from my signature I use firefox 26.0 and whilst I was checking the new build out I had the AOS enabled and that was working as expected, check marks being displayed in the search results.

i have installed Bitdefender previous,and BD have displayed his Google search icon in FF!
I have no idea what other add-ons (security based ones ?) that you have on firefox 26.0 that may possibly interact with the Avast! Online Security add-on.
Have you tried using a different search engine, the above image I posted was from Yahoo.co.uk which I prefer to google.
OK, just for the sake of test, I have installed the Avast Browser AOS.
I used Google search for “mouse” and the attached screen shot shows the web-rep icons.
Yes, I am still using Firefox 25.0.1 because I don’t like the download manager changes in 26.
problem solved.i’ve disabled another FF add on,and the icon became visible again
What was the conflicting add-on it may help others in the future ?
