I have Windows XP and Avast Internet Security. Also the Apache WEB server and the local site.
When firewall is enabled I can’t access this website from my tablet. I see a lock in the firewall log, add it to the exception, but it doesn’t work.
When I turn off the firewall, the site opens fine. Please help.
I created an exception. Access level: all connections, outbound ports: all, inbound ports: all. The site is not working neither from the server nor from the tablet.
I change outbound ports: 80. The site opens on the server, but is still inaccessible from my tablet.
I change the rule for all other connections to “allow”, but it’s not helping.
How does the tablet connect ?
Through a router ? If so, did you setup port forwarding ?

Yes, through a router. I type IP address.
How to setup port forwarding?
Well, if you access the site on the XP system with 127.0.0.1 (localhost) it can work, but not if you type it on the tablet as it is bound to the system where you are typing it on.
You need to access the site through the external IP address of the server.
How to setup portforwarding depend on the router.
