Hi, I am sorry if this is an inappropriate place to put the question. I am curious and that is making me uncomfortable!
Situation observed when there is internet connection (I don’t remember seeing such connection request when there is no internet connection)
Whenever a new application is started, it tries to connect to an ip address (48.47.0.0) inside my own PC. As far as I know, the applications should connect to the localhost or 127.0.0.1 or whatever there is in the hosts file. My hosts file is clean by the way. The curiosity arises because I had never came across such request in the past. So, I checked the IP details and it turns out that its some insurance company?

SO, if I deny the connection, some application fails to work that requires internet while some don’t. Now, why would any application try to connect to such IP INSIDE MY OWN PC? I don’t have anything related to that as far as I know. I checked my PC with all kinds of antivirus rootkit spyware scanner and its clean. It would have been a different matter had it been an outbound internet connection. Should I be worried? Thank you for your help.
I am attaching an antivirus firewall connection popup screenshot:
There is also this ‘friends’ connection in avast firewall list, of which I am attaching the screenshot as well.
