AIS interfering with windows display detection routines ?

What happens to me is this. Whenever the computer starts or comes back from sleep, Windows seems to try to detect my display. This is because W7, will treat digital displays as any other hotplug device( like a USB disk). So when my computer comes out of sleep, the display will flicker one or two times and windows will play the “I found new HW sound”. Problem is that sometimes display would flicker but remain dark. I’d have to plug in a USB device to trigger a re detection and get my screen back.

Where does AIS come into play? Well, I uninstalled it, then booted to safe mode, and used the cleaning utility. Then I did a few reboots just to check stuff. Sure thing, the screen would still flicker sometimes, but way faster than with AIS installed. This is something I would like to help fix if indeed needs fixing.

Meanwhile, I will continue to talk to Nvidia support about their drivers.
