Ok, so I attempted to update my XSplit software ( http://cdn2.xsplit.com/download/bc/m26/blah.exe ), however, Avast popped up the alert that a few *.tmp files were a Win32-Evo[Susp] - bare in mind, even if I excude them (the *.tmp files), redownloading the file generates more alerts with new named files… Why are there so many false positives with Avast lately?
Edit: Just tried with Internet Explorer, and it let me download, whereas Chrome (even in incognito mode) won’t even download it ??? ??? It’s interesting that chrome seems to generate .tmp files when you download…

I thought it’s firewall was only the rubbish component in it (see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=140679.0 - which was my problem too, so I dumped it), but seems there’s more to it.
I’m tempted to go back to Kaspersky after ~5 years
