:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: e sorry… ;D

that’s normal, because at the contrary of what’s being officially stated by Avast, even if URL blocking appears in the UI as an AIS feature, it’s web shield dependent ;D (blocked sites are registered in webshield.ini) … so yeah, the URL blocking could just as well be a “free” feature ;)… but it’s been decided otherwise

SO free version could block too…er …it a sensitive question… :-X

Not using the GUI it couldn’t but by manually editing the web shield’s ini file, mess that up and it could also screw up the web shield. So generally not advised, since you aren’t using the free version it isn’t an issue.

Why can’t you use the web shield if using a proxy - Where is this post ?
You should be able to coordinate other proxies to work with the web shield redirects.

I don’t think simply adding an URL to block in webshield.ini will work. I haven’t tried but there’s probably something else involved to “protect” the feature ;D

You never know ;D

You would have to know the [Section heading] and mu web shield ini is rather empty after a clean install after the beta trial.
