AIS upgrade pricing makes no sense

A 1 year 3 PC license costs 29.99 I’m offered a 2 year license with this claim. “By accepting the offer on this page, your previous selection avast! Internet Security (3 PCs, 1 Year) will be replaced by avast! Internet Security (3 PCs, 2 Years) lowering your annual protection costs. with a 2 year 3 PC license the cost is 59.99”. Savings? Please show me the savings! It actually 1 cent more. I think there was a previous post complaining of something similar?

BTW my 2 year license is going to expire in about a week but I could not take the nagging for renewal any longer so I went back to Avast free several days ago. I may not renew at all because half the reason I purchased AIS in the first place was I do not want to be nagged period. The other reason was to help support Avast.

I think that it is because the normal 1 year for 3PCs is $39.99 so you are getting what looks like a 25% renewal discount. But when changing the number of years it is comparing that against the normal AIS price for 2 years and 3PCs, $74.99.

It could be worse you could be in the UK where the rate of exchange is a straight 1$US = 1£, when the rate of exchange is $1.56US = 1£ so all that appears to change is the currency character in front of the dollar rate.
