AIS - Warning Message "Protection has expired...."

OK, this is disconcerting. I have a popup window this morning which is showing to be from avast! Internet Security stating:

Avast protection has expired.
Online banking: Vulnerable
Fake Website Protection: Inactive

Reactivate now to stay protected
((Blue Box that is labeled “REACTIVATE”))

Since my license still has 400+ days left to run, why am I receiving a message like this?
And why has AIS allowed my workstation to become ‘Vulnerable’?

If I am unprotected right now while I figure this out I am going to be irked, to put it mildly…

is your computer time/day/month/year correct? …if not adjust and reboot

Yep, date and time are correct. I verified that first off to be sure.

So, I take it that no one from avast visits this forum. I guess I’ll have to make a phone call.
I do not much care for the fact that it was stating that it needed to be renewed and that the workstation was vulnerable.
Pretty shoddy for purchased software.
