AIS2014 is impossible to configure - Disconnects me from Remote connection w/tab

I am having a horrible experience with this thing. it is NOT user friendly. Can’t navigate to see how to change settings. Nothing is obvious. it is UGLY as all get out too.

Avast! is causing connection/disconnection issues with my Splashtop Streamer remote connect to my Android tablet. Considering I have a TRANFORMER that dual boots both win8.1 and Android AND the tablet is the desktop lifted off it’s base --having this issue is ridiculous. I know avast! can’t tell the tablet is the same device, but it needs to stop blocking connections. I had ZERO connection issues before i installed Avast! I got the computer and was running resident Win firewall and Defender. I wanted the security of Avast!|

Continuous problems with the Splashtop Streamer connection since. (keeps disconnecting me after 1 min, says connection failed) I “Try Again” and it connects only do the same 1 min later. obviously it is the install of Avast that is causing this since it is the only thing I changed on the computer.

I have somehow accidentally ?? managed to find access to the firewall application settings (where you allow degrees of access “ask” 'friends in" “in/out” “Internet out” and you can specify ports. I changed the ports to be the ports that the Streamer must access (it was not these ports.) I have not tested since, I will.

Splashtop advises changing settings in the auto sandbox to exclude the streamer. Not sure why. Of course their lovely screenshots show the older version of Avast that is easily navigated. It is more user intuitive.

I can’t even find the Auto Sandbox to configure in this ugly version!

ALSO Avast! does not show a path (in the window) when I browse to try to add anything to any part of the settings (for any feature) Why not? I am running Win 8.1 with this new avast!

Can I say right now I HATE THIS 2014 AVAST and want to go back to Version 7 or one that has the older familiar navigation. … HOW? I paid for this thing. I do not have the free version.

I really like avast! Internet Security and want to use it, but I must be able to configure settings. At the very least I need a tutorial on how to use this version of avast!

You are one of many. If you check this forum, majority of people are complaining and “fanboys” defending it, no matter what.
Also check review of Avast on the net. Avast if falling! I thing a few lessons in MARKETING can help Avast guys manage their business. Even without any training in marketing, there is one rule for ANY business: Customer is always right. Avast start to ignore it. They will learn, or loose.

Ok great! Thank you! I get it, others don’t like it either. That is to be expected, it is not user friendly nor intuitive. It’s nearly impossible to figure out without investing huge chunks of time and even then maybe not.

But HOW does knowing this help me get my streamer working? I need some support, not commiseration.
