Hello, my company is infected by .akira ransomware. They encrypted every single file in the network. Total 10+ servers are down including Windows Servers and Esxi Servers. The hyper-v is also broken.
We contacted Akira on their portal but they are asking for a huge amount that we cannot pay at the moment. Is there any way to decrypt or recover our data? Our backups and everything is encrypted. Any recommendations?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
This isn’t a service that Avast Offers as far as I’m aware.
Care really has to be take as there are many scammers out there charging a lot to remove it, take the money and run.
This is a google search I did on removal of .akira ransomware.
Some say you can’t remove it, without a clean backup.

I am in touch with a ransomware recovery firm that is monsterclouddecryptor*.com. I have shared some samples with them and they decrypted the files back to normal. They are saying that they can rebuild and restore Akira ransomware manually and can create a custom recovery tool for recovery.
Hopefully this will work out well for you and not be too costly.
I did find that Avast does have some free decryption tools, I don’t know how recent they are, but akira isn’t on that list.
I think off-line backups need to be a serious consideration so they don’t get hit in the event this were ever to happen again.
Avast decryptor didn’t work for me at all.
From what I saw on the list, there wasn’t an option for akira ransomware.
There’s older version of Avast akira decryptor.

These crooks are going to keep changing the encryption method to combat the people trying to decrypt it an ongoing battle between good and evil..
