It seems I can either turn off/on all notifications, but I WANT to see virus notifications and DON’T want PUP nuisance messages.

Well PUPs aren’t scanned for by default have you changed any of the default settings in the File System Shield ?

Some examples of the detections would help screenshot of alert window, etc.
