All of a sudden it won't start :-(

I loaded up my XP SP3 today and Avast didn’t start. I tried double-clicking ashDisp and it gave me this error: “The procedure entry point_basEncodeFileToSubmit@28 could not be located in the dynamic link library ashBase.dll”

I’m running Comodo Firewall Pro (latest) alongside, working perfectly until today. (Note that the Comodo does not contain the full CIS, just Firewall and Defense).

HELP!

Did you install an update of avast?
Maybe Comodo didn’t allow some of the files to be updated? You can try to Repair avast! from Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / avast! Antivirus.

Thank you so much for your rapid response, I really appreciate it. It works now!

(I suppose it was only a matter of time before I forgot to allow some update, anyway…)
