Hello again - another virus that is causing all programs to open up in VLC. I’ve gone through the maleware cleanup steps and here are my logs for adware, maleware bytes, and OTL. Any ideas?? TX
hmmm, a very strange virus … and what would it gain by doing that
naaa, think your file associations are wrong

or wait for Essexboy to check your logs and fix it for you
OK download the zip file from here to your desktop

Open the Zip file and extract the following to you desktop
Exe.reg
Folder.reg
Double click them one at a time and allow to merge with the registry
Does that fix it ?

Ok - I merged the two registry files, but not change. Next, I did the fix with OTL and then scanned then system again. here are the results. The status of the system is the same.
I did think the file associations were changed as well, but I tried to change them before, but had no luck.

If that does not fix it then… Windows all in one repair has now been updated to include this error
Download Windows Repair (all in one) from this site
Install the programme then run

Which one did it, my reg fix or windows all in one ?
Run OTL and press the cleanup button
I would recommend that you keep windows all in one as I have found it a very useful tool
And it was my pleasure to assist you ;D
The windows all in one program worked - will keep it!

Suggest you always check for the latest version, tho, as it is updated often.
