Allowing Access to a Folder

I am running a steam game and it needs access to a folder in my documents. I disable AVAST and the game can access the folder and run with no issues. But as soon as I enable AVAST it no longer can access the folder.

I have allowed access to the games exe within the steam folder. But I can’t figure out how to add the seperate related folder that is in My Documents.

Is there a way to give access to just a folder?

You don’t say what avast you have?

But it may be related to ransomware shield if you have ais or premium
