alwaysnewsoft

I am running Windows 10 and my Edge browser has apparently become infected with something from the alwaysnewsoft web site. I was online with Edge and I got this notice, a false notice, that my Java software was out of date. It recommended that I click on a button to install the latest Java. In the browser’s line that shows the source of the message was an address that began with “alwaysnewsoft”. That made me suspicious as did the fact that there was no opt-out button. I went to task manager and ended Edge. However, since then, even though I have restarted, the message comes up every time I enter Edge, making it unusable. I have subsequently determined that this is a virus that will install malware. How do I remove it?

BTW, I would use the Avast Safe Zone browser, but I have an extensive Favorites list in Edge. Is there a way to transfer that Favorites list to the Avast browser?
