I am signed in but when I press post everything vanishes. this is my 5th try.

What was the solution, it may help others in the future ?

I was wrong I haven’t solved anything,I am now posting on a different computer. I was using vista now am on windows 8.

There are currently some issues on the forums, bad gateway errors, inability to reach some pages, generally slow. But I haven’t had any problems actually posting, but moving from one system to another shouldn’t make that kind of difference.

Try clearing your browser cache on the Vista system, log off the forums and log on again and see if that resolves it.

Same here (sort of)

When I get notified about a new response and I click the link in the email I get a blank page.
If I log out I can go right to the reponse but if I am logged in I get the blank page.
This is only happening at or with the following page http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=115105.new;topicseen#new and if I do get to that post I can not get to the last page if I enter through the main beta apge.

There have been previous issues a long time ago with URLs in the forum with ;topicseen#new at the end of them as that requires some database processing to do this. If there are problems with the SQL database side this can result and also gateway errors.

You’re welcome, I have been on the forums for some considerable time so am more likely to have bumped into these errors before.

I’m hoping they get resolved as it is driving me bonkers as I can’t get on to the avast8 beta 3 topic.

Thanks for the info.I will wait see if it clears soon. But I find it strange I can get in with window 8 but not with vita.

I am having a problem on both of my systems.
Windows XP Pro (Desktop) and Windows XP Home (laptop)

I just tried access via IE8 and same results. IE8 not the preferred browser)
IE8 gives an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

Re your secondary issue, you aren’t alone (many can’t including myself) in the inability to access page 6 of that topic; there is now a page 7 of that topic which is accessible.

But if you can’t login, you should be able to access that page, that is how some of us have been accessing it, but logging off, viewing that topic and then log back on.

I have been doing the same as you.
This also goes with accessing page 7.

I am still having to manualy update,and show the last popup is grayed out. thats in both vista and win 8

Is there anyone in the “know” (Webmaster or whatever) working on this issue to pin point the problem and offer some information??? ???
