Am I imagining things with Avast Premium scanning SD cards?

I have installed Avast Premium on Android tablet. I also have SD card installed on this tablet.

I had Avast installed and running for a few days. I THINK I remember Avast scanning all files on SD card when I ran scans.

But then, I factory reset my tablet and reinstalled Avast Premium (with tablet still having the same SD card installed). But now when I run scans, it only scans files on the internal storage and not the SD card.

Was I imagining it scanning SD card previously or am I missing a setting/function somewhere?

It may have scanned the /sdcard directory and not an external SD card. Most people don’t realize that your phone’s internal memory is a built-in SD card, and that’s what it’s called in a lot of logs. For example, your Download folder is ./sdcard/Download. You’ll also see it called /user/emulated/0/…, which is actually a fake (emulated) directory that’s basically a copy of /sdcard/…
