Am I infected?

I got today ZTE Blade 3 and gave it to my friend to check it out.

Smart guy went on some porn site to ‘check out the display’. Anyway when he clicked on video to play it, it downloaded file PornoVideo.apk

Now I don’t know if it downloaded itself or he did it. But I know it wanted permission which I took my phone and declined.

Later I let my avast scan and it found it to be some Trojan.

Now I am scared if it can send those fraudy SMS or enter into my accounts(keylogged) etc.

What to do now ?

It was automatically loged in in most of my accounts. Could’ve it installed itself even without permission and could it run in background now ?

I did let avast search for threats and it found it as Android/FakeInst.CE!tr

I deleted it and my phone acts as it were before. It didn’t ‘change’ at all. I’m just overly paranoid about my passwords.

Help :\

Hi,

so you actually didn’t install the app, correct? Since you say you declined the permissions which are usually being accepted during installation of an app (rooted devices might differ).

Filip

Exactly. It asked me for permission but I didn’t give it. It was just present on SD card and I later scanned it and found it to be a threat. Phone wasn’t acting strange, but because I am a post paid user, I am afraid of fraud SMS etc.

Hi,

applications can’t just install themselves on Android. If you didn’t install it, you are absolutely fine.
