Is it correct that Avast will not sell licences just for for 2 users , if so why ?

That flip-flops between 1, 3, 5 and 10. Where the old store allowed the user to select a number from a drop-down list.
I don’t know if that is still available, but the new avast.com design seems restricted to 1, 3, 5 and 10, which is unacceptable.
I know on the old site, the cost for two systems wasn’t very competitive and it was almost cheaper to go for the better discount on 3 PCs.
Thanks for replies and link…seems you cannot buy for 2 users only, seems a bit daft when i assume most homes probably only have 2 devices that need protection , will have to check out if other antivirus sellers have the same restrictions.

Of course we have considered offering other packages, e.g. 2 or 4-device licenses and even did so in the past. But eventually we decided to simplify our product portfolio and ditch 2-device etc. ones. The main reasons being that having many different product variants creates more complexity for our customers when deciding what best fits their needs, plus the actual demand for 2-device licenses proved to be really low. And frankly having so many product variants is also tougher to maintain for our team and infrastructure.
Thus in order to keep things simple we have left out 2-device licenses but priced other multi-device packages very competitively to make your decision making easier. We basically kept the original 2-device pricing and applied it to 3-device packages. Our 3-device licenses usually cost only 50% more than 1-device ones, so even if you won’t utilize the 3rd device at the moment, the two in use still cost only 75% of a normal price. And you never know - having one extra license might eventually come in handy ;).
