I have been adding unwanted numbers for a while and had a new one today, that looked similar to one I had a few months ago. When I went to call blocker to look, it listed only 7 numbers in my list, and the number in question (from Florida) was not there anymore. Is there a limit?
Or am I doing something wrong, I normally add number from the call log.
If it’s limited, in this day and age when you receive on average 10 unwanted calls on any give day, then, it’s pretty much useless as a real tool and is more like a novelty item IMHO.
the number of phone numbers in Call blocker is not limited in any way, so it’s probably some other issue. You said you see only 7 numbers now, how many did you have before? Also did you do any kind of backup/restore operation?
I estimate I’ve added at least 15 numbers, never noticed that there was only 7 in the list, just assumed they were scrolled down. But when that familiar Florida number rang through, I went to the list to check and thats when I saw that there is no more than the 7 displayed numbers in my blocking list. I’m new to this whole smart phone thing and I didn’t physically do a backup or restore operation, not sure if the phone did one, how would I know? Also Avast updated today, it is now AMS V 5.6.2-12828-1750c23. I’m using a Moto E with Android 4.4.4
The phone probably didn’t do any backup by itself. Automatic backups are a thing starting with Android 6.0 and restore only happens after reinstall or when setting up new phone.
How were you adding the numbers to the Call blocker? By the + icon inside the app and then “From Call Log”?
Yes, and I just added another “spam” number. I now have 8 blocked numbers with the display now scrolling down to the 8th number.
Maybe the AMS update to 5.6.2 resolved the problem? I think I’ll put this on hold, until it seems the problem returns or still exists.
Thanks for taking the time.
