Avast free antivirus for pc detected that my Wi-Fi network is not secure because it has a weak password (I am using the default router password:D), but Avast Mobile Security failed to detect it.
Is the connection to the router the same (both wired or wifi) ?
Just wondering…
Yes i am using the same wifi connection for my pc and smartphone.
As user, you sure would expect both to give the same result.
Although they should do the same, they are two entirely different applications due to the different OS’s used.
Let’s see what avast has to say about it.
Avast please respond.
Hello,
unfortunately Avast mobile security doesn’t support all features as Avast for PCs.
Have a nice day
Lukas
But unfortunately you are not an avast employee.
He is, just checked it.
That answer is crap though it does not answer the question the OP asked.
Hi, sorry for the delay. The PC version has a bit more advanced scanner and is able to reveal more. If we wanted the mobile version to go in the same depth and compare your password with more ones, the scan would take too long and it could be problematic for some routers. I don’t know what your password is, but if you think it is too basic and should be detected as vulnerable, please send me the password to a private message, thanks.
Thanks
