Hi,
The program Amule.exe is reported as a trojen by avast however it is a harmless p2p software. please check and update.
thanks
Hope they correct the false positive soon.
Are you using the latest version? For Linux?
You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner and report the findings here the URL in the Address bar of the VT results page. You can’t do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to extract it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.
here is what is reported by online scanner- http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/ee0ab8f5812b185c23a7de120f3a6066 - major commerical engines do not find anything. Something needs to be done about this.
And that something is to submit the sample to avast as a possible false positive and exclude from scans.
If it is indeed a false positive (likely as those that are detecting most are by generic signature), see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=34950.msg293451#msg293451, how to report it to avast! and what to do to exclude them until the problem is corrected.
